Jerry made a profession of faith at a Youth for Christ rally when he was 18 years old and followed God's leading to attend Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, in 1956. He continued his education at Michigan State University, then moved to California, earning a B.A. degree at Western Baptist Bible College. His first pastorate was Calvary Baptist Church in San Luis Obispo, CA, followed by San Jose and later in Fountain Valley, CA.

   Jerry served many years as a board member of Los Angeles Baptist College in Newhall, CA. When he was appointed director of the Buffalo Hebrew Christian Mission in 1980, he relocated to New York. This was followed by a move to Ohio where he ministered as Director of the Committee on Missionary Evangelism.

   In 1983, Jerry was called to Grace Baptist Church in Yuba City, CA, where he pastored eight years before retiring from the pastorate. Jerry was then a representative of the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry and taught extension courses for Shasta Bible College in Redding, CA. He also ministered to many churches throughout the West by co-founding Western Institutional Furnishings, dedicated to supplying quality interior church furnishings.

Jerry was called into the presence of his Lord in 1998, leaving a legacy of Bible teaching helps.
